"…in the name of the flowers and the fields, the stars in the sky, and the streams that
flow down to the sea, and the mystery that breathes wonder into all these things…"

Please join us in celebrating our marriage

Labor Day Weekend September 05, 2026

on the beautiful garden island of

Kauai Hawaii

Garden Island of Kauai, Hawaii

How to get here:

  • By plane, of course! Fly into Lihue (LIH)!

How to get around:

  • Renting a car is highly recommended; we have arranged for a discount code for car rentals from Sept 4–7, 2026.
    • Avis Car Rental — Avis Worldwide Discount: J157617
    • Budget Car Rental — Budget Customer Discount: S274070

To and from reception dinner:

  • We'll provide transportation to and from the reception dinner at Merriman's. We'll be meeting in front of the Sheraton Kauai Resort on Saturday, September 5th for a quick lift on the "Aloha Spirit" over to dinner. If you are not staying at the Sheraton, let us know by August 15th and we'll work on arranging your pick up. Please do not drive yourself to the restaurant if you plan on drinking -- we want to make sure everyone gets home safely!

Where to stay:

  • We have an ocean-view room block at the lovely Sheraton Kauai Resort in Poipu which is a great option for convenience to the wedding events. If you plan on staying longer, give the hotel a call to arrange a longer stay. Link to book.

For families with kids:

  • While our wedding events are adults-only, we'd love to see your kids at the Friday picnic! If you're bringing little ones with you, you may consider some babysitting services that are quite popular for traveling families. If you need recommendations, please reach out to Kat or Payson.

Good to know:

  • The island of Kauai is less developed than the other major Hawaiian islands. This means you have the convenience of towns like Lihue where you can get creature comforts, but also everything moves a little slower and tends to close down at 7pm or 8pm, plan accordingly!
  • There are many little towns around the island with great local businesses. We encourage you to drive around and discover all the little hidden gems. Here are some landmarks to get you started!

Labor Day Weekend 2026
